Louis Bodak is a versatile drummer and percussionist originally from Bridgeport, Connecticut, now based in Salisbury, North Carolina. His musical roots run deep — he began performing traditional Hungarian folk songs with his father at just nine years old. From his high school years through 1991, Louis was an active force in the Connecticut music scene, playing with To The Max, The Uncle Chick Band, and Last Supper.
He has shared the stage with legendary acts such as The Ramones, Hüsker Dü, Dr. John, New Riders of the Purple Sage, and The Outlaws. He also performed at the NAMM Show in Chicago on behalf of AKG Microphones.
Since moving to North Carolina, Louis has continued his dynamic musical career, performing with The Ashley Jo Farmer Band, Sy Arden, Big Break, Number 9 Coal, Courtney Puckett, Daisy Clover, Seth Grigg & The Fixn’s, and Colton Sherrill & The Pickups. He remains connected to his To The Max bandmates and collaborates regularly with the nonprofit music collective Band Central.
Louis is available for studio sessions, live performances, and private drum instruction. Whether you’re looking for a seasoned drummer for your next project or a passionate teacher for all skill levels, Louis brings decades of experience and musicality to the table.
